Call for abstracts
We invite researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, allied health professionals, trainees, and students to submit abstracts for presentation at the London Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer Research Symposium.
Abstracts must be limited to 250 words, excluding title and author affiliations and should be submitted under one of the following themes:

Mechanisms and Biology (including inherited risk)
-
Microbiome, Immunology and Environment
-
Patient experience and survivorship
-
Screening and prevention (including early detection)
-
Clinical data and epidemiology
-
Clinical trials and treatment
Abstracts should be structured using the following subheadings: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Author Instructions
All abstract submissions must be received by 23:59 GMT on Monday 14th September 2026.
Presentation slides must be uploaded by 23:59 GMT on Sunday 1st November 2026.
Posters should be printed in advance and brought on the day for mounting during registration.
Review & Acceptance
Abstracts will undergo anonymous review by a panel of clinicians and researchers.
Accepted abstracts will be considered for oral or poster presentations.
Acceptance will be communicated by Friday 9th October 2026.

The symposium will bring together experts from across the EOCRC research community to showcase the latest advances in basic, translational, clinical, population health, and patient-centred research. We welcome original research that contributes to improving our understanding, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes of early-onset colorectal cancer.

We invite all early-career researchers to submit a lay summary for the Dragon's Den.
Early-career researchers include students, trainees, or researchers within 5 years of completing their PhD or equivalent research qualification, excluding documented career breaks. This includes clinical trainees undertaking research, irrespective of whether they hold a PhD.
Pitch Submission for the ECR Dragon's Den.
We welcome early-career researchers to submit a 150-word pitch sharing novel hypotheses, emerging concepts, and innovative research directions that have the potential to reshape our understanding of early-onset colorectal cancer and inspire future collaboration.
